Currently, we have two main interests: the development of new methods to decipher honeybee proteomic data and the application of gene-editing tools in honeybee genome study.

Biography
Dr. Yue Hao has joined the innovation team of ‘Honeybee proteomics” in the Institute of Apicultural Research, CAAS since July, 2015. She received her Ph.D. in 2011 from the Institute of Theoretical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and then carried out postdoctoral work in the U.S. at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, National Institutes of Health (NIH). For many years, her major focus was the study of the bacterial small RNAs, including the theoretical modeling of general small RNA-mediated gene silencing and the characterization of a novel small RNA that finally found to protect against deleterious nitrogen compounds, which is one of the first small RNAs to be discovered that are regulated by RpoS. Recently, her work has shifted to the proteome-wide identification and characterization of genes that are essential for honeybee physiology, such as royal jelly synthesis and embryogenesis.
