Bee Product Quality Supervision and Testing Center of Ministry of Agricultural and Rural Affairs (Beijing) Passes FAPAS International Proficiency Test

From July to August, Bee Product Quality Supervision and Testing Center, Ministry of Agricultural and Rural Affairs, P. R. China (Beijing) participated in the proficiency test of No.2858 Quality Parameters in Honey of FAPAS® (Food Analysis Performance Assessment Scheme). The proficiency test included a total of six testing parameters relating to the bee honey quality, namely moisture, fructose, glucose, sucrose, hydroxymethyl furfural and diastase in honey. The testers of the center made active preparations, completed the testing according to the plan, and submits the testing results in time. According to the feedbacks in FAPAS’ proficiency test report received recently, the six parameter testing results were satisfied (|z|≤ 2), indicating that the testing center reached the international level in the field of bee product testing capability.
FAPAS was founded by the UK Food and Environmental Research Agency (FERA), the implementing agency of the UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA), and approved by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS). The program has been widely adopted by food analysis laboratories around the world, and developed into a leader in similar industries in the world. Currently, FAPAS® is the world's largest provider of analytical laboratory level testing, and provides the most extensive range of testing materials in the world.
