IARCAAS and Dalian University held an online communication conference on scientific and technological cooperation on April 11. The purpose of the conference is to promote the implementation of the deep integration of industry, academia and research as well as the joint construction of disciplines. Meng Changgong, President of Dalian University, and Peng Wenjun, Director of IARCAAS attended the conference.

Meng Changgong expressed gratitude for the support from IARCAAS. He said that Dalian University and IARCAAS have broad prospects for cooperation in building industries of life and health, promoting agricultural modernization, and supporting rural revitalization. He hoped that both could focus on their respective advantages, find the exact direction, solve hot and difficult issues in agriculture and rural areas, and jointly create new opportunities for industry-university-research collaboration.

Peng Wenjun fully affirmed the foundation of Dalian's development of the bee industry. He pointed out that Dalian University has significant advantages in talent training, while IARCAAS has rich scientific research and innovation resources. Bee industry development and rural revitalization construction in Dalian and northeast China need both respective advantages to promote in-depth cooperation in talent training, innovation and collaboration, platform construction, and achievement transformation, which have great potential and broad prospects. It is hoped that the two parties will further focus on accelerating the high-quality development of the bee industry in Northeast China based on previous work and set a model to demonstrate for the "sweet" business of the bee industry in Dalian, so as to jointly provide strong support for the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy.
